Diogo is a Master`s Student in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University. Diogo obtained his MD degree in 2014 from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Natal/RN, Brazil. He was involved in research projects in heart failure, diabetes mellitus, pharmacology, geriatrics and public health. Moreover, during his medical training he performed internships in internal medicine, cardiology and psychiatry.  His project evaluates the impact of aging on memory consolidation. He is using non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) as a tool to induce motor memory interference. The objective of the study is to determine whether aging increases the susceptibility to motor memory interference induced with repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and to identify underlying neural substrates.
